Brittany and Chris

With lightening quick speed, Laura Parker of Fairy Tale Photography got these images to me from last Friday's wedding. Brittany and Chris had a fabulous combo ceremony and reception at the Annex. My favorite of these is of Chris twirling Brittany as they went down the aisle.

Joy's Bridals

Joy was such a sweet bride to work with! Now that she is officially married (as of yesterday) I can post these bridal portraits, her look is so Old Hollywood. FYI, we let all our brides book a bridal session or engagement session at the Annex for free. photographs by Derrick Oliver

Joy Got Married!

I had to post the snow photos before I posted this wedding, can you believe that it snowed just a couple of weeks before Joy's outdoor wedding. She had everyone on their knees praying that it would be nice weather and that is exactly what she got! She even got to go barefoot down the aisle. About half the guests brought blankets (suggested in the invitations) and the other half had chairs - 300 people total! No photographer credit here, just little amateur me. I will try to get some professional images soon.

Next I will post her bridal photos, I have had them for a while but had to promise to keep them private so Eric (her groom) wouldn't see!

Eat, Drink and Be Scary was a huge success

We ate, we drank and tried to be scary! We raised lots of money for Heroes for Children. Here are some of the images that were taken by Jim Herndon of On Location Portraiture. Click here to see the slideshow.

Bye Bye State of Fair of Texas - till next year

Hickory Street Annex is walking distance to the Fair. We are sad to see it go (except for the traffic). I don't understand how this was done, but I think it is a beautiful farewell to the State Fair of Texas. This video was made by Jim Herndon of On Location Portraiture with a regular camera and not a video camera. It is basically tons of still photos put together to look like a film. If you are a photo nerd you can read all about it on his blog. If you could somehow play it in slow motion perhaps you could see Oprah eating fried butter!
