Boho Modern Wedding Shoot

Shannon and Lonnie were so much fun to work with.  The mother of the bride was one of the bubbliest mothers we have ever had here at the Annex.  Melanie can we still be friends even though your event is over?

The Fair

I always love the opening of the State Fair. This video was made last year by Jim Herndon of On Location Portraiture with a regular camera and not a video camera.

Hickory Street Annex is walking distance to the Fair. I'll be making a visit soon!

The Most Requested Cake in our History!

This cake was from Brooke and Patrick's wedding a few years ago. I still get requests for the cake stand and the bakery. I think it was from Fancy Cakes by Lauren and the florist was The Wildflower. The stand is made from 3 clear plexiglass boxes.

picture ledges

We noticed that our brides liked to hang things in the lobby so a few months ago we installed some narrow picture ledges on the long wall where you enter. I liked this photo from Bailey and Nathan's wedding (in the current issue of D Weddings). The photo was taken by Katie Norris. I did a rough sketch that shows the placement of the ledges. The spacing allows for both tall and short objects, there is even room for a life size bridal portrait (although you might want to think about where you are going to hang such a thing after your wedding)!
